LOVE this bracelet, but hate that it keeps breaking on me!

I actually don't have the gold version...I have the silver version of this but its not up for me to post a review on so I'm posting here. It's the same bracelet after all. So i originally bought the bracelet about a year ago (before i even knew what alex and ani was....i was just so in love the look of the feather i needed to have it)and after having it for about 6 months the stem of mine snapped off. I was heartbroken because i loved the bracelet so much, so i ended up calling amazon, and they did me a solid and sent me a new one even though the return policy was expired. Amazon's customer service is really wonderful by the way. So now I'm on my second one, and low and behold, about 4 weeks ago a noticed a crack in the stem =(. I was hoping that this would be the extent of the damage, but two weeks later I look down and the stem is gone again. So I do have to say that because I love this piece so much i do wear it just about every day. It's a staple piece for me. The first one I got I did adjust it a lot and try and make it fit tighter, so i could see how the adjustment would weaken the metal. So when I got my second one I REFUSED to do any adjusting hoping that this would solve the problem. I literally slipped it on and slipped it off everyday and in the end it still broke. So I don't know...I have to agree with the other reviewer that a $58 item should not break so easily. I actually went to an alex an ani store and asked one of the sales girls about this and she simply told me that "yeah, sometimes the wrapped ones break off." That's all I got out of her. I just wish that this product was made better because I see myself going for round 3. With any luck this one will last me longer than 6 months. So basically buyer be ware...you but it, you'll probably have to replace it. And you can't really wear it broken because it snags on things, scratches you up, and it looks silly. =(

I was very excited about this bracelet and absolutely loved it! Until the stem of the feather broke off after wearing it (not constantly) for two months. I do not expect to pay $58 for a bracelet to break!
